Please know that to us at Highlands Cobberdogs our foremost priority is our puppies.  This is why the Adoption Application is the necessary first step. Once you complete the application and we call you, during the interview process we will ask you some probing questions to see how committed you are to meet the requirements we have.  Not every family is ready to make that commitment, in these cases we will mutually agree not to make a sale.

If you have paid a deposit once your puppy arrives/ and is chosen the remaining payment of your purchase price less your deposit) is due.  We pick your puppy for you based on several factors including your position on our waitlist, as well as your preferences noted in your application. We aim to match up the traits you are looking for such as size, gender, personality, color as best we can,  with personality/ temperament being the foremost factor. Our puppies are ready to go home between 8 ½ and 9 weeks of age. HOW IS YOUR PUPPY ALLOCATED?  We allocate puppies to families based on a combination of factors including your preferences stated on your application, with personality and temperament fit taking priority. We look at your family situation and lifestyle to  make the best possible fit for you. COLOR SHOULD NEVER BE THE FIRST PRIORITY IN SELECTING THE BEST FIT FOR YOUR FAMILY.  We ask for your trust that we will make the best decision for you based on the time we spend socializing, caring for and getting to really know your future puppy.
